Skulls

The whole Mexican Day of the Dead thing is a big trend coming through this season. However, Skulls, aren't a new thing in fashion, they have been around for a while but it appears that they are now really making headway, hitting the mainstream and are fast becoming a favourite logo on many accessories this Spring. They used to be reserved for that kind of ‘grungy’ look but that’s all changed, at the moment they're everywhere from t –shirts, shoes and bags to postcards. Skulls are still cool, just take Jess Hallett’s (Mossy’s besties) range Rockins as an example, her skinny scarves are the ultimate in rock chic, you only have to look at the A list necks they have adoroned them to get the picture.

Tattoo Art is huge right now, the Artist’s are having their moment and have fast replaced the ‘supermodels’ ‘photographers’ ‘make up artists’ and ‘celebrity stylists’ that were once the ‘Darlings’ of the industry to take centre stage. With Cara having a tattoo so frequently and practically every celebrity being ‘inked’ it is no wonder that tattoo artists have been asked to spread their talent and design for the fashion industry. An example of this is Love Hate Social Club's leading artist David Kafri who has designed a range of cool shoes for Mulo.com launching on Net-A-Porter this month, and guess what? They have skulls on them too...
