Wear The Rose

As Rugby World Cup excitement grows with England v’s Australia’s game this Saturday I though I would share with you a shoot that I worked on three weeks ago with the amazing Laura Wright, the super talented Soprano who opened the world cup opening ceremony. We were all at the shoot to promote the launch o2 Sports special campaign for #weartherose. It was probably one of the most memorable shoots that I will ever style – certainly to to date it’s at the top of the list.

It's not my average working day that I get to climb the 02 at night, surrounded by the biggest light projection ever shown in the world, with helicopters circling and a stunning soprano singing Jerusalem whilst being filmed and photographed. It was more 'Bond' than any Bond film I have ever seen.

The shoot was the most spectacular production with a crew of about fifteen people helping to make the final images and film come together. We were battling a serious time frame with the shoot going to press later that night, not to mention me battling a serious fear of heights. How I got through that night, I don’t quite know – Massive thanks to Laura's very understanding agent, guides with patience of saints and the client, o2Sports for helping me up.

It was important for Laura to be wearing white. So, together we chose a cut out white dress from Net-a-Porter which showed off her fantastic figure and style perfectly. Her jewellery was from Carat London and some seriously sparkly shoes from Gina finished the look.

It was freezing at the top of the 02 but Laura, the total professional she is did such a fantastic job. It really was a total honour to be involved in such a project.

So show your support throughout the Rugby World Cup and remember to #weartherose. Come on England...

And here is an image of the light projection that helped to launch the #weartherose campaign which broke world records for the biggest light projection in the world and had never done been before at the o2. Great shot by Casey Cutteridge from one of the helicopters circling:

Me when I reached the top, part terrified and part freezing. Jerusalem was blaring out, it was quite a moment:
